Children's Homes maintains nine family-style residential care cottages on its main campus in Paragould. Seven of these cottages provide full-time care for children. We maintain three boys' cottages and three girls' cottages, as well as a special cottage for young children and sibling groups in need of "emergency shelter." The remaining two cottages are relief cottages -- each week, two of our full-time care cottages will send their children to the relief cottages, and the full-time care houseparent family will get a week off. This rotation provides a chance for the houseparent families to spend about one week per month together, allowing these families the time together they need in order to maintain healthy relationships and continue their very challenging ministry.
You can provide direct help to a cottage by joining our Helping Hands program. Though Helping Hands, individuals and groups communicate with the cottages to learn what needs the specific cottage has. Generally, these are household items like linens, towels, utensils and small appliances, etc. Contact our Public Relations department to learn how you can get involved in Helping Hands. Here are pictures of our cottages. (Photos are saved and presented in random, unnamed order to preserve campus security.)
