Our Ministry:
Since 1955, we've provided loving, Christian homes for children whose parents cannot care for them because of death, separation, abandonment, illness or other reasons.
|
Our Means:
Children's Homes is 100% privately supported, and does not accept government boarding payments. Funding comes from donations from churches, individuals, businesses, groups and foundations.

Over the years, many wonderful people and organizations have found creative ways to partner with us in the ministry of saving the lives of children. We are always open to considering new ideas and efforts to help further the cause of caring for neglected kids, and we are proud of the opportunities and programs already in place. If you are interested in joining one of these ongoing efforts, please contact our Public Relations Department. Here are a few opportunities for you to consider: - FOOD RUN: We send a box truck out once each week on a selected route. Churches that participate in our Food Run collect food items at the building, and on the day of their appointed route, our truck comes by and picks up the food items collected. These items go into our Food Room at Children's Homes, and the houseparents shop at the Food Room twice a week to provide free food items for the children in their cottages. Contact us to find out if a church in your area participates in the Food Run, or to receive more information about the program.
- HELPING HANDS: Participants in Helping Hands receive "needs lists" from a specific cottage. Working through our Public Relations Department, groups or individuals involved in Helping Hands take the needs lists and shop for the cottage needs. Typically, Helping Hands provides items like towels, dishtowels, small kitchen appliances, utensils, bedding, decorative items, lawn and garden needs, etc.
- MENTORING: Some volunteers within driving distance of our main campus serve as mentors to the children in care at Children's Homes. Potential mentors undergo pre-screenings that include thorough background checks, fingerprinting and more. Mentors provide another layer of care for the children of Children's Homes. To learn more, contact the Public Relations Department.
